Where did your musical journey begin?
I don’t remember a time before music, music has surrounded me my entire life. As a young child, my grandfather and uncle were both always playing music, whether it was the piano, organ, guitar or singing.
My parents are massive music lovers and always had music pumping in the house, they loved to party. That’s something I’ve always loved and still cherish about them. Music has definitely been the one constant for me throughout my life.
I got into the harder dance genres at around 14 and started attending under age raves and events, that’s when I discovered my unwavering love for Drum and Bass. At age 16 is when my brother and myself realised we both loved Drum and Bass. It brought us together as friends and re-connected us. We would absolutely geek out, sharing tracks, DJ sets and discussing MC’s with each other. We loved every aspect of the scene and culture.
If my love of the music wasn’t already strong, this truly propelled me into an absolute obsession. I was hooked.
What made you decide to take up DJing?
My pure obsession for the genre and the love of the music. I’d always be the one in control of the music, hosting all our friends gatherings and parties and I’d be the music geek in the corner, playing all my new discoveries. Constantly listening to DJ sets, attending events and hunting new tracks, I wanted even further control myself. I loved hearing how DJs would craft a set, it would feel like telling a story through music with how they would take you on a journey through sound.
Hearing two tracks come together to create a whole new sound would always excite me and I knew that’s what I wanted to do whenever I found new tracks. I wanted that creative freedom, to be able to fly through tracks, curate a story, manipulate the sounds, take elements from one track and lay it over another. Transition from something that hits you in the chest emotionally to something that just makes you want to get up and jump. It’s as if there was no other choice but to take up DJing for me. The natural progression bred from obsession.
In 2006-2007 myself and my best friend would host massive open parties at his mum’s property.
We would hire DJ decks and PA systems, of course that’s where I’d spend my whole nights, around the decks and tinkering with the tech. It was in 2008 where I could finally afford my own set up and that was it. My love only grew deeper and it became my outlet, my down time and my time to energise. Therapeutic.
What are some of your interests/hobbies/passions outside of streaming/DJing?
Horror! My love of the Horror genre runs almost as deep as my love for music. That has to easily be one of my biggest passions outside of DJing, another obsession if you will.
Beach days is something my mates and I love. There’s no better way to unwind than to get together and chill out with a beer and tunes pumping. 4WD’ing (Off road 4 wheel driving) is something I also love to do. Put on some music, drive and get lost in the world where nothing else matters.
Exploring and travel, is one thing I love and would love to do more of.
When did you start streaming on Twitch?
I started streaming on twitch at the very end of July 2021. Like a lot of people, I thought Twitch was a site just for gamers. I wish I had known that there were music categories sooner. I’ve been missing out on not only so much talent out there, but the opportunity to create bonds with so many likeminded people who are just as passionate as myself.
Is there anything you really hope to accomplish in your life, whether it be related to music or not?
Honestly, this may seem cheesy, and not the way others interpret this question. What I want to accomplish in life is simple success. Of course everyone wants success, but what success is to you, may be different to what that is for me. For me success is being happy within yourself. It’s being passionate, loving what you do and staying true to yourself and helping others with kindness and compassion.
It’s living a fulfilling life, loving your lifestyle, being appreciative for what you have and what comes your way. Never losing sight of why you started something to begin with. To me, this is what some of the greatest accomplishments in life can be. This is what living a rewarding life sounds like to me, true success. Now that’s not to say I don’t have bigger goals, we should always aim higher, strive to be better. Learn. Grow. Dream big. But without accomplishing those basics I don’t think I’d feel nearly as happy and successful as I do.
Music and stream related, I’m so grateful and humbled with what I’ve already achieved on the platform in this short span of time. The reason I started twitch was to share my love and passion for music and meet likeminded people. Everyone faces hardship in life, so I wanted to create a space where we can just share a laugh and hopefully help people take their minds away from all the daily struggles, even if just for a brief moment.
I want to continue doing that, helping support and build up other streamers, all while expanding and growing myself. I’ve grown so quickly in such a short period of time. My biggest accomplishment was definitely achieving partner in less than 6 months and I couldn’t be more proud or grateful for that achievement.
Who knows what the future brings. I’m just excited to be on this journey and am going to enjoy the ride.
Who are some of your favourite streamers? Why?
Argh, there are just too many! I’m going to have to keep my list short, as I could list 100’s as I have so many favourites and I’m discovering more every week! I have to start with the entirety of Team Brisk. I truly love watching everyone on their journeys. What a talented group of individuals, always incredible vibes and we’ve all shared some amazing moments and laughs together.
DJ Brisk (the well endowed studmuffin!)
My ladies in bass MissChessKnight & HeyItsIpo
DJ Magic Mike
Rallen (top bloke!)
Violit
DJ Brady
Mr Relax
Vlouue
What is your favourite genre to play? Why?
Drum & Bass! It’s my favourite genre to listen to and play, there’s just so much variety in the one genre. No matter your mood, there’s a subgenre of D&B that fits that mood. The atmosphere and ambiance that varies from track to track. I love how energetic it is, also how hard hitting emotionally it can be.
There are no limitations to how you can mix it, so the level of creativity you can have with it is unlike any other genre. It’s always fun and interesting which keeps it fresh, exciting and I’m constantly able to push myself.
What are some of the most memorable events you’ve participated in or streamed?
Easily the Team Brisk events, they’re such a blast and level of camaraderie we feel when we all come together to support each other in what we do is
just beautiful to see. Makes me so proud to be part of this community.
Bass nights with MissChessKnight & HeyItsIpo. 16+ hours of all bass music with two incredibly talented women is an absolute honour. From flute tings to running on no sleep, streaming in delirium is hilarious. It’s an absolute blast and pleasure to work alongside them.
What does Team Brisk mean to you?
When I see the words “Team Brisk” a few keywords spring to mind. Love, Support, talent, passion.
Team Brisk is an extremely supportive community of likeminded people, all coming together to help build each other up and achieve our goals. We’re all super passionate about what we do, and want to be able to help each other succeed in our own individual journeys.
Watching the team all rally around another team member when they’re close to a goal is so heart-warming, I’ve not witnessed anything else like it. The team boasts some of the best talent on the platform and I’m always in awe watching other team members. The Variety and diversity are unlike any other, and the quality is unmatched. The team is full of the kindest, loving, accepting, and not to mention hilarious people I’ve ever come across in my life.
It’s a joy, an honour and a privilege to have met all the amazing people on the team and to be part of it! I couldn’t be prouder. The love, compassion, care for one another, support, encouragement, all while staying true to ourselves, as we work together to kick our goals, is everything I love about Team Brisk.
Without the love and support of the team backing me, I don’t think I’d be where I am today. So, thank you Team Brisk, all of you.
What’s your favourite thing about DJing on Twitch?
The community. When I started on Twitch I had no idea the bonds I’d be making on this platform. The friendships I’ve made are something I will cherish for life and I was really naive about how much Twitch would actually change my life in that regard.
The love and support I have received from the community for just being me is overwhelming and more than I’ve ever felt in my day-to-day life. I’ve laughed the most, cried the most and shared some of the most incredible moments with everyone on here. I feel like I’ve finally found my place in the world, where I can just be unapologetically myself thanks to Twitch and the incredible community.
DJ wise, the freedom and flexibility. The ability to be able to play what you truly love and are passionate about. You can play whenever you want and to be able to fit it into your own lifestyle is a massive draw.
Being able to just be yourself and share your love and passion with others is huge.
What is a challenge you’ve faced as a DJ/streamer?
It has to be my internet! Those tech issues are painful. I won’t lie, I’ve shed a few tears over it.
Australian’s will empathise with that one.
Do you have any special projects, streams or events you would like to tell us about?
I’m looking forward to helping organise more Team Brisk events in the near future and I truly am so proud when they come together. Bass nights will now become a monthly thing, on the last Wednesday of every month and of course, I am looking to my back to back set with Brisk too.
Is there anyone you’d like to shout out and/or thank?
Big love to the entirety of Team Brisk and my beautiful community. Each and every one of you who has supported me on this journey, without you this could not be possible. Your continued love and support have humbled me and meant the absolute world and you have all changed my life in the best possible way. I couldn’t be where I am without you all.
DJ Brisk, you saw something in me and supported me from the start and I can’t thank you enough for always being there supporting me and pushing me to be better. You not only became a mentor, but even more so a great friend. Thank you.
My incredible team of mods, your hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed and I appreciate you giving up your time to help me. DJ Brady, Mr Relax, Sytryx, Karoliina, Patrick, DJ Brisk, Sachey, Stumpmeow, IPO & Tony. Thank you all.
An extra special thank you to Nox. The amount of work you put in not only during stream time, but behind the scenes is overwhelming. The amount of gratitude I have towards you is immense. You have supported me in every way possible, always in my corner and looking out for my best interest.
My family, I love you. Thank you for all your help and encouragement. You’ve helped make this possible each and every day x

Team Brisk Streamer Of The Week: Little Fever
We head to Canada for our firth Team Brisk Streamer Of The Week, with none other than DJ Little Fever!
Where are you from and where are you living now?
I am Dj Little Fever From Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, but I was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
How did you come up with your DJ name?
Well the long and short of it I use to go by DJ Little B for the longest time. When I moved to the Niagara region in 2006 I met a DJ at at a venue I was a resident at and he asked me what my DJ name was, I replied “Little B” and he replied with “I’m Little A, we could go by the Little Alphabets!”. Suffice to say, I shut that down pretty quick and changed my name from Little B to Little Fever. This combined the old with the new using a part of my former radio moniker, “Johnny Fever” (when I was presenting on WKRP in Cincinati), so the best of both worlds per se.
What’s your equipment list?
I use a MacBook Pro for my music
Gaming laptop for streaming
A Rane One all in one platter, mixer, console for DJing
Plus a boat load of stream gadgets and ‘do dads’
Main camera is an iPhone X
Second camera is OBS cam
1 x Elgato Multi Mount
1 x Elgato Key Light
Cheap ‘accent’ lights from Amazon
1 x Elgato Stream Deck
Govee Lights
Canva (for marketing and promotion)
Where did your musical journey begin?
Honestly, started in my friends basement making mix tapes for friends, the old school way. Enjoying sharing music with my friends was what got me started.
What made you decide to take up DJing?
It was the perfect mix of social and nerdy at the same time that really scratched that itch (that I still have to this day). Being able to take a person on a musical journey and have them feel something is truly awesome and to see someone shocked at a cool remix or live blend is a constant high that I still chase!
What are some of your interests/hobbies/passions outside of streaming/DJing?
I’m a dedicated family man, certified coffee fanatic and a bonafide bad movie enthusiast!
When did you start streaming on Twitch?
I stared taking it seriously in August of 2020.
Is there anything you really hope to accomplish in your life, whether it be related to music or not?
In all honesty, I would love to tour and dj full time. Being able to travel the world and share music all over the globe has always been a life long dream of mine since I started my music journey (and still is).
Also I would love to own and run a coffee shop (small pipe dream)
Who are some of your favourite streamers? Why?
Askillz
TheGaff
TheFunkhunters
DJ Maculate
DJ Bizzon
Each one of these artists has some thing special that inspires me, but one thing they all have taught me is to be true to the music and vibes that you love. When you do that, people really gravitate towards that, they LOVE what they do.
What is your favourite genre to play? Why?
My favorite style of music to play is mashups, anything and everything mashups.
I love Ghetto Funk, Baltimore Club, Top 40 Blends, anything that mixes and mashes up the original, that’s my jam.
What are some of the most memorable events you’ve participated in or streamed?
I have done some streams and some festivals that have been truly fun but I have yet to have that WOW factor moment, Well maybe one, I failed gracefully out of the Redbull 3style about a decade ago (LOL), that was an experience!
What does Team Brisk mean to you?
Friendship and variety, I have met so many cool people and different styles of DJing because of it and I am truly blessed to be on this team.
What’s your favourite thing about DJing on Twitch?
The world wide community and making new friends from different parts of the world. Getting their feedback and input live in the mix is amazing..
What is a challenge you’ve faced as a DJ/streamer?
Honestly, visibility. Even though Twitch is global I truly believe my passion and talent should be shared and enjoyed by more.
I know I have the skill set and the drive and should be out there more, butI just don’t know what that missing piece or secret sauce is. That said, I will continue to strive to be out there pushing my love of music
Do you have any special projects, streams or events you would like to tell us about?
Nothing as of yet. I am slowly building my unique catalogue of remixes mashups and soon original music coming soon.
Is there anyone you’d like to shout out and/or thank?
There are so many first off not to sound cheesy, but my Mom as without her constant playing of music in the kitchen of our house I would not have experience the music that help influence me early on in life.
My wife who puts up with my drive and excitement and help put me in a proper direction creatively.
My graphic designer friend Dean Cole, that single handily saved my DJ career with a logo rebrand. One that saved me from quitting and inspired a metric ton of creative ideas from his one MILHOUSE style drawing!
And a endless list of djs that have help elevate my drive each time;
DJ Starting From Scratch
DJ Ritz
This Is Jester
DJ Baby Yu
DJ Gates
DJ PPL Move
DJ Maculate
DJ COVA
The Gaff
Askillz
DJ Bizzon

Team Brisk Streamer Of The Week: Danny C
For our fourth featured artist/streamer we are heading to the Worthing, UK as we bring to you, the one and only Danny C!
Where are you from and where are you living now?
I currently live on the south coast of England in a small town called Worthing born and bred. Not many know of the town so usually easier to say, Brighton.
How did you come up with your DJ name?
My name was only meant to be temporary until I could think of something cool and catchy many years later I still haven’t come up with one so Danny c has just kind of stuck!
What’s your equipment list?
Currently, I use Pioneer DDJ800 and HDJ00 headphones.
MacBook Pro 2013 purely for running Rekordbox
Streaming PC:
AMD Ryzen 3 3200G 4GHz with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics, Gigabyte A320M-S2H Motherboard, 16GB 2400Mhz DDR4 RAM
corsair vs550 PSU
Rx550 2GB
Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow, Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX Smart Gaming Case, White
Where did your musical journey begin?
I have always had a music culture in my house when growing up which was influenced by my parents as they loved dance music. I really got into Hardcore and Hard Dance when I was working nightshifts at Heathrow airport and Kutski was on Radio One (UK national radio station), this was the first time I had ever heard of Hardstyle and Hardcore and I was like “Damn, this sound is great” and I fell in love with it. I then started to search for more artists and DJs which led to the next stage, learning to mix!
What made you decide to take up DJing?
I started really late probably around 2009 and I never owned turntables or vinyl, so I jumped straight to CDJs and MP3s (I still can’t mix vinyl LOL!). I asked a friend of mine (Lee) who had been DJing for years to teach me how to do it. I started learning using House music as a starting point, getting to grips with beat matching and the art of mixing. From there I found a love for House music which took me on a different path of musical tastes. I still enjoyed Hardstyle and Hardcore, but struggled to mix them at that point.
House music was the genre I was playing mostly which then led to mobile DJing and trying to get into bars and clubs. I teamed up with Lee and we played on the mobile DJ circuit for a few years, but did it differently than usual mobile jocks using remixes of popular chart toppers and dance music to help us stand out but also keep it interesting. We still had to play commercial music though, which was painful at times. After a few years of doing a few bar nights and mobile parties, we stopped as it was losing its appeal to be fun. In between the mobile parties I was also playing on a couple of online radio stations. One was called Radioactive FM, which was mainly playing House music, the other was Brighton’s local pirate station, Codesouth. This is where I found my home for the Hard Dance scene again. They wanted something different and I was able to deliver Hard Dance and Hardcore.
Every Thursday I would turn up to this little studio down an alley, deep in the heart of Brighton. It was a very underground set up with so many doors and locks to get through to access the studio. You have to remember that pirate radio was (and still is) illegal, so these studios were always in secret locations. I would then broadcast my show playing Hard Dance music across the FM airwaves and online. This lasted about a year or so before I stopped as times were not great and my show was very early in the morning and I took a break from DJing altogether.
What are some of your interests/hobbies/passions outside of streaming/DJing?
I do like to game when I have free time from family life. I created a gaming channel to stream with, which isn’t as big as my music channel but one where I could do different content and sit down stream without risking my main channel if it wasn’t popular. I do enjoy a workout in the gym but I’m not much of a cardio fan, which is probably why I can’t shift my beer gut and love my food 😂
When did you start streaming on Twitch?
It was during the start of lockdown in 2020 I got that itch to mix again so bought a DDJ800 before the Covid streaming craze made buying kit impossible, so I was pretty lucky there. I had never streamed online before using cameras and streaming software, so this was a whole new platform and skill I had to master, which I’m still learning to this day. Plus I love an emote!
Is there anything you really hope to accomplish in your life, whether it be related to music or not?
One of my goals is to have a track made or try and work out how to make music. I have dabbled many times and got lost in the music software, so nothing has ever materialised. Yes, I can pay someone to do it but where’s the fun in that? My next goal would be to have a consistent stream schedule and build my viewership up with more exposure to my Grubby Nation brand and also aim for Twitch partnership. I would be happier with a growing channel than anything else and get on a few live sets. I guess it’s harder for relatively unknown DJs such as myself to grow into bigger things where I don’t have a big following or music production to get my name out there. That has been life’s dream to play in clubs the music I love to play.
Who are some of your favourite streamers? Why?
There are quite a few for various reasons. These could be anything from content, online presence and what they play that is to my tastes. In no order at all my usual go-to for streams are: Blklight , Brisk , kutski , Swagesound , Chardj , Uk Dave London, Hartshorn303, Steve Disco Newsome. There are so many others I couldn’t possibly list them all. I also have my newly created group of Grubby Nation DJs which I will come to in a bit.
What is your favourite genre to play? Why?
I like variety but my streams are more renowned for Hard Dance and Hardcore. I do dabble in House and Trance now and again. My reason for the Hard Dance choice as my main genre was because I’ve always wanted to play it but never had the following interest in it until I started on Twitch. Since then viewers and supporters have found my channel through networking and I feel humbled that now I express my tune selection to those who enjoy the genre.
What are some of the most memorable events you’ve participated in or streamed?
There have been a few moments of amazement that happened on stream and being a part of the Twitch community. One was asked to join two teams. One is team KTRA. I have been a follower of Kutski since the Radio One days plus when he started his record label and KTRA podcasts, so to get noticed was a huge honour. The second of course was Team Brisk, I had found Brisk by chance when I was looking for Hardcore streams to listen to. I found the Sunday sessions and had to drop this guy a follow. Since that day I was hooked to the streams andBbrisk. I’m not sure how he noticed my content or why he picked me to join his new team. Nonetheless, here we are two years in and glad he did. The support from him and the team has been second to none and my channel has grown more than I can imagine. The team raids have been brilliant so much variety and character from the team is what I like the most.
A year ago I created a brand called Grubby Nation. This was to bring together streamers and viewers alike that love the hard scene. I never imagined it to go anywhere in all honesty. A year later I have merchandise that has been purchased from viewers we have a small selection of DJs representing the brand and logo, some even have tattooed themselves of the logo (so proud of that). Just recently I was gifted a huge neon sign of my logo that the community paid for. You will see this soon. Grubby Nation is my little project that I’m proud of and look forward to the future with the brand and seeing where it goes.
What does Team Brisk mean to you?
There is no ‘I’ in team with this crew. Support from Brisk has been on point. He looks after the team and is very passionate about his streamers and the content he brings shows this. The team are very supportive, you could go to a stream and guarantee someone from Team Brisk will be in there. It’s Always welcoming and humble every time. There is never a feeling anyone is bigger or better than anyone else which I like as you feel at home and relaxed.
What’s your favourite thing about DJing on Twitch?
I like the ability to meet new people I wouldn’t ever have a chance to interact with IRL. I’ve met some great friends through twitch and connected with DJs in the scene I would never have met IRL before. I’ve always seen myself as just some guy who plays tunes online. So when I have support and followers that is such a morale booster for why I keep doing what I’m doing.
What is a challenge you’ve faced as a DJ/streamer?
Everyone is doing it, competition is fierce! Nah, the big challenge was learning pc builds and new programs such as OBS. I’ve never used YouTube tutorials as much before lockdown, so big up to all the YouTubers helping out there. Plus real life stuff gets in the way of a proper schedule however, I am working on getting that sorted now I have moved to a new home.
Do you have any special projects, streams or events you would like to tell us about?
Depending on when this gets published I will be doing my 1000 follower stream celebration, which was put back a few months due to moving house, which I will now combine with Grubby Nations 1st birthday. This will be happing on a weekend in June/July. (I hope) details in my Discord for updates.
Is there anyone you’d like to shout out and/or thank?
100% to Paul Brisk. I feel without his support and Team Brisk I probably would have quit ages ago. Competition is fierce online and takes hard work and dedication to build a good channel. Plus support from streamers and viewers helped me reach goals and achieve what I thought would be unrealistic goals.
Huge shout out to my Grubby Nation DJs; Mas-q, Cuthy, Chaosraver, Tomfastrack, Cypher, DJ Floyd, DJ Weedee and Meiremax. These dudes have been epic in supporting the cause and deserve a mention and kept the Grubby Nation brand alive with me. For the next 12 months, I plan on looking for new DJs and growing alongside the best of them out there.
Then I have my top moderators. Zora and Spurry these two are always in the streams no matter what. Hyping the chat (a bit delayed on link sharing lol) but support from these two deserves a mention.
Also, how could I forget Ken Jones? This dude I think is a credit to team brisk. His bots and features are wanted by many of the team’s great mod and top notch geezer. Last one is to my best mate Lee who taught me mix which has got me where I am now.
